Should We Censor Music?

Should radio stations have to censor songs they play on the air? Personally, I don't think so. Yes, there are reasons that songs with explicit material in them are censored, such as if families listen to the station and whatnot, but that should be up to the listener to decide what they want to listen to. If someone hears something they don't like on the radio, they have the freedom to change the station to listen to something else. Do you think music on the radio should be censored?

IS PUNK ROCK MUSIC DEAD???

To most people the word punk is associated with kids with green and blue hair and safety pins in their cheeks. Some, it was and always will be a way of life. Punk music to me is loud and aggressive and a form of release from the tensions of the day to day grind. Songs about Truth, Justice, and Freedom an overall anti-government, big business, corporate anything kind of music made to be poignant, visceral and for the most part mercurial. With bands such as grammy award winning punk band Green Day reaching levels that surpass most all other bands with record sales and overall attendance selling out arena's in all parts of the world and being one of the largest bands in the world, its hard to say that punk is dead. Drug Abuse in Hollywood

View the video here.

With the recent death of Whitney Houston questions are starting to rise about why so many celebrities are dying from drug abuse. This video shows the brief stories of many stars who have died from the use of drugs. Some of these stars are Amy Winehouse, Britney Murphy, Michael Jackson, Heath Ledger, Anna Nicole Smith, Elvis Presley, and John Belushi. So, why do these celebrities who are so talented and have almost everything they could ever need turn to drug abuse? Some speculate that doctors are so star struck that they would do anything to please the stars. Even if that means giving them prescriptions for medications they might not necessarily need. Maybe they do it to get publicity? Their reasoning behind the drug abuse we will never know. It is unfortunate to see so much good talent going down the drain for something so stupid. Our groups Coat of Arms includes the words Truth, Justice, and Freedom. everyone has the right to freedom and if they chose to abuse drugs then that is their choice. These people should all have fair and just treatment.
