NYTimes Article: Chemistry With a Toybox of Instruments (Paper Clips Included)

Many people have a preconceived notion that all classical music is dull and boring. One group is out to change peoples opinions. A group of composers/performers is adding a new twist to classical music. They aim to make it more engaging and entertaining. These performers do not usually work together and do not spend hours and hours tediously practicing their performances. They use a wide variety of instruments ranging from the normal violin to guitars with paper clips. They also use bells, clappers and wine glasses. Their new take on classical music has been a big hit with their audiences.
