Have VHS become obsolete?

You may remember them if you are a kid of the nineties or in your thirties. VHS once used to run the world of home viewing entertainment. A time when video stores only carried VHS and DVD had not yet been invented. I personally still own and watch VHS, to me the rougher textural quality that the VHS provide make for a more enjoyable experience. I do seem to have an outdated or old school opinion when it comes to this. For most it's out with the old and in with the new. What's new is better it seems that consumers are more concerned with clarity and speed than keeping with tradition especially when it comes to movies. For me if I'm watching Casablanca which most people have not seen I want it to have more of the original feel and grit. Now you only find VHS in thrift stores for a buck, which for me is great, it just seems that VHS have become obsolete.

  1. Well I agree VHS are amazing especially when they are $1.00! Yeah you get good sound and imaging on DVD or blue ray but sometimes it's fun to go old school! Hey, they don't have all the classics on DVD!
